Hi Tuscany Soccer families,

I hope this finds you well and managing life in this ‘new normal’! Planning is underway for the Spring soccer season and we are hopeful that we can have a strong soccer season this year while managing the ongoing risks of COVID-19.

With that in mind, registration for families of coaches and assistant coaches will open on February 1! If you’re planning to coach this year, please register prior to the 13th as we base the number of available player registrations on the number of coaches that we have sign. Registration for everyone else will open on Sunday, February 14th and will close on February 28th.

We are hopeful that we will be able to have a largely normal looking season this year, more on that below. If we have to cancel the season again, you will receive a full refund minus the $5 to $7 processing fees that we are charged by credit card companies. Our season will run from April 24th until June 26th.

Volunteers Needed!

As you know the TCA Soccer League is driven by the fantastic volunteers that Coach, assist, organize, schedule, and coordinate. If you’re a parent that’s interested in Coaching (there is no experience necessary!) please register when it opens on February 1st. The number of kids that can play is limited by the number of coaches we have. Coaching is a fantastic way to spend time with your kids, stay in shape, and meet new people in the community; plus we’ll give you a snazzy new whistle! RESPONSIBLE RETURN TO SOCCER

Like you, we are excited to return to soccer and the game we love. However, each of us must begin our return to play thoughtfully. The soccer community has the responsibility to protect ourselves and our participants from Covid-19 by promoting the practice of good hygiene, physical distancing and monitoring for symptoms throughout our programming and activities.

Our COIVID-19 protocols will always be based on up-to-date information from Alberta Health and in compliance with all advice and restrictions. Our program will be under continual review as guidelines change and will be updated depending upon current situation. We will be in touch just prior to the start of the season with protocols that will likely include physical distancing, monitoring player health with a symptom checklist, avoiding sharing equipment, water bottles, etc.

The COVID-19 pandemic is an ongoing and rapidly developing situation. We encourage our membership to monitor publicly available information and to always follow federal, provincial and local health organization guidance and government mandates.

I am looking forward to a fun soccer season!
